My name is Ms. Naomi Meredith, and I am very excited to have this opportunity to be your STEM teacher!
For the first 6 years of my teaching career, I spent my time in the general classroom. I’ve had the opportunity to teach 2nd
grade at a Title 1 school with a very diverse community in Commerce City. I
then took a 3rd grade position in Parker that had a 1:1 device environment.
Through my time in the classroom, I discovered my passion of teaching
technology with kids. While keeping state standards and curriculum in mind, I
was able to develop lessons that were enhanced with technology. I’ve been able
to lead students to interact with multiple types of devices, utilize G Suite
(Google) and Seesaw, code Dash/Dot Robots & Lego WeDos, and create with
other online programs.
I am eager to bring my classroom experience into the
STEM setting. This is my second year as RHL's K-5 STEM teacher. Students will have the opportunity to explore science,
technology, engineering, and math through the use of hands-on experiences and
various devices. Problem-solving, collaboration and critical-thinking is
essential when working on any project in our updated Innovation Lab. These are skills
that can be carried on for our students’ current and future endeavors.
I am a huge advocate for differentiated and engaging
instruction that speaks to each child's’ needs. It’s amazing to see how
students can shine when they can demonstrate their learning in different ways
and I am honored to be a position where I can foster that experience.
Keep checking in on my classroom blog where updates,
resources and information will be posted throughout the year.
I can’t wait to officially meet you!
