Students 2nd-5th grades now have their Typing accounts set up! While there are many different online programs out there, this one keeps track of their progress. Read more about this website and also how Kindergarten & 1st grades were exposed to mouse control.
Kindergarten & 1st grade have been improving their computer touchpad skills by using the free website: ThisIsSand.com.
Students have to press down on the touchpad to make the sand drop, then use another finger to move the sand around. They also practice making a choice by clicking the color in the top right corner.
2nd-5th grades got their typing.com accounts set up. This site does a great job teaching student correct hand placement where they are building up to the ultimate skill; touch typing {being able to type correctly without looking at the keys}.
